Tampico

Located northeast of Mexico, the city and harbor of Tampico constitutes the metropolitan area of Magic South of Tamaulipas along with Altamira and Ciudad Madero. According to INEGI’s 2005 census, the metropolitan area has 803,196 people.

Tampico testified the beginning of the civil aviation in Mexico. In the twenties, Mexicana de Aviación executed the first national flight from Tampico´s airport to Mexico City.
